Training Options

Small Group and Personal Training:

One-on-One: I’m able to give you my undivided attention for the entire session length. We will be in the gym alone without any other people working out.

Two-on-one: Many people prefer this as it pushes them a little bit harder and makes it more fun.  Also, there is a price advantage for working out with a buddy.  There will only be the three of us in the gym at one time, nobody will be watching.

Sport Specific Training (athletic performance): I’ve worked with athletes competing on a national level to athletes wanting to do the spartan race. With my background on the national and world stage, I know what it takes to develop your body for peak performance.

Locations:

Gym “b.hines in motion” (El Cerrito, CA): Blood, sweat and tears coat the floor of this gym. Don’t worry, the floor is black so nothing shows. 🙂 If you’re looking for a treadmill, elliptical or a smith machine, go to Planet Fitness. If you want to really test your abilities, do a workout with me at my gym. We have battle ropes, kettle-bells, balls, and plenty of weights to make every workout unique.

Park: Occasionally it’s a nice change of pace to workout at the park.FullSizeRender_1

Albany Middle School Track:  So much fun to be had around a 400m oval.

Types:

Strength Training: You’ll have the opportunity to learn Olympic weight training movements. I’m not so much concerned about how much weight you can lift, but rather proper technique during the movement.

Cardiovascular Endurance: What would you say if I told you I guarantee that after a 4 minute workout, you’ll fall to the floor with exhaustion? Come on in and I’ll show you  what I mean.

Agility & Balance: Often time the most overlooked area of fitness. Focusing on a solid core and quick feet will help you with your other areas of focus.

Weight Loss: This is the benefit from  the varied movements mentioned above. While gaining muscle, building your endurance and core, you will lower your body fat % without focusing solely on it.
